Apply the polish to dry or new polishing pads, evenly across the entire surface of the pad. With the polisher still off, spread a thin layer of polish over the paint, then polish with moderate pressure in a cross-hatch pattern until a transparent film forms, meaning until the aluminum oxide contained in the polish has completely broken down.
