Ceramic Paint Protection with Strong Hydrophobic Effects

Ceramic Body Cb0.01 is a ceramic sealant used for long-term protection of painted bodywork surfaces. A very thin protective layer chemically bonds permanently with the surface. Ceramic Body Cb0.01 creates very good droplet clustering properties (lotus effect). Thanks to its Easy-to-Clean properties, the treated surface can be cleaned gently and easily, even with manual washing. The protective layer remains intact even after using acidic and alkaline cleaning agents. The cured ceramic sealant protects the paint much longer against environmental influences such as oxidation, salt, acids, and insects. Ceramic Body Cb0.01 thus significantly contributes to maintaining or increasing the vehicle's value. Its lifespan is 36 months, depending on the load. Areas of Application
Painted surfaces on passenger cars, commercial vehicles, motorcycles, motorhomes, caravans, boats, etc.

Recommended Use:

1. Thoroughly clean or wash the vehicle with an alkaline solution before polishing and sealing (e.g., Green Star diluted 1:10, do not use impregnating shampoos). Pre-treat coarse dirt such as tree sap, rust film, tar, etc., with red (Reinigungsknete rot) or blue (Reinigungsknete blau) cleaning clay, Teerwäsche A, or a similar product.
2. Heavily to moderately weathered paints are mechanically pre-treated with a coarse abrasive polish Heavy Cut or a fine abrasive polish Fine Cut, depending on their condition. Detailed application information can be found in the Heavy Cut and Fine Cut product information.
3. Slightly weathered paints and holograms can be removed after polishing with Heavy Cut or Fine Cut using a Micro Cut high-gloss polish and an eccentric polisher. See Micro Cut product information.
4. Completely remove polish residues with a polishing cloth and a Polish and Sealing Towel.
5. Wipe all surfaces with a clean Polish and Sealing Towel soaked in Silicon- & Wachsentferner or Panel Preparation Spray with light pressure and wipe dry with a new Polish and Sealing Towel immediately before drying with the other hand. This is the only way to completely remove surfactants, drying aids, oils contained in polishes, etc., and avoid adhesion problems with Ceramic Body Cb0.01. Caution: For sensitive universal or single-layer paints, Silicon- & Wachsentferner must be diluted 1:4 with water, preferably distilled water, to prevent possible matting.
6. The paint should now have a scratch- and hologram-free surface under good lighting. After this step, the paint must no longer be touched with palms/fingers (risk of adhesion problems, use gloves). The surface is now perfectly prepared for Ceramic Body Cb0.01. Page 2 of 3
7. Moisten the application sponge with Ceramic Body Cb0.01 and quickly spread it over the paint, working on individual components. Alternatively, an applicator block and application cloth can also be used. After applying two cross-coats, a thin, compact liquid film must be visible. Allow the product to flash off and then polish with a Coating Towel. The flash-off time depends on the temperature and humidity*. The higher the temperature/humidity, the shorter the flash-off time. First remove the excess, then polish in circular motions without pressure with a fresh side of the cloth. Check the result for streaks under appropriate lighting.

Before use, read the hazard warnings on the packaging or outer carton and take appropriate protective measures. Ceramic Body Cb0.01 reacts with moisture. This can cause crystals to form on the edge when the bottle is opened. If these crystals get onto the Application Towel, the treated surface will be scratched. Therefore, the crystals must be wiped off with a cloth before dripping the product onto the Application Towel. For double surface treatment, a drying time of approx. 30 minutes after the first treatment must be observed, depending on temperature and humidity. The coating is weather-resistant only after at least 24 hours. Wash the vehicle for the first time after at least nine days, as only then is the impregnation fully cured. At low ambient temperatures (below 15 °C/59 °F), the curing time is extended. Nevertheless, bird droppings and insect residues should be removed as quickly as possible during the first nine days.

After 24 hours, the application of Spray Sealant S0.02 or Hand Wax W0.01 is recommended to protect the not yet fully cured ceramic sealant. Cleaning agents with pH values below 3 or above 12 should be avoided. An opened bottle can be stored for a maximum of 6 months. Before use, check whether crystallization has occurred in the bottle. To maintain the high-gloss ceramic surface for as long as possible, hand washing is recommended. For alkaline cleaning, use Green Star (dilution 1:10). For neutral washing, use Gentle Snow Foam. For the removal of mineral dirt, deep cleaning with Reactivation Shampoo is recommended. Professional aftercare preserves the properties of the ceramic sealant and minimizes the formation of water spots. Therefore, after washing the vehicle, it is recommended to use Hydro Foam Sealant S0.03 (dilution 1:50 - 1:200) as a wet sealant or Spray Sealant S0.02 as a top sealant.
